About Us

1946 Foundation of the company Emil Kammerer

Production of the first compression vacuummeters, performance of repairs on laboratory equipment,  first contacts to today's Bayer works in Leverkusen. The developments of the pioneer Emil Kammerer make technology history: One of the first compression vacuummeters was showcased at the German Museum in Munich.

1948 - 55

Developments of small laboratory equipments and sublimation plants amongst others for the laboratories of the Bayer works in Leverkusen, Dormagen and Krefeld-Uerdingen.

As of 1950

Expansion of the repair services for vacuum pumps, sale of compression vacuummeters and normal pressure gauges, steam jet pumps and diffusion pumps for the laboratory area as well as water jet pumps.

The 60s

1955 - 65

Further development and conversion of "chipping gates" in the high vacuum range for the granulates.

Experiments and development of an inflatable seal for vacuum-tight shut off.
This paved the way for the subsequent breakthrough in the vacuum range.

First representation office in Asia.

The 70s

Use of Kammerer- slide gate valves in the power plant construction.
Attainment of the certificate of suitability of the use of the slide gate valves in the nuclear technology industry.

Development and production of:

  • the first explosion protection gate valves for the shut off of industrial dust
  • the high pressure slide gate valves 580 psi (40 Bar) for use in the production of cellulose
  • the discharge slide gate valves for the filter dryers of the former Rosenmund AG in the pharmaceutical sector up to 23" (DN 600)
  • the first slide gate valves made of titanium (for brine-salts)
  • spring pressure closing valves in the event of power outage
  • slide gate valves for freeze-drying

The 80s

Development and production of:

  • dosage slide gate valves with three-position actuators as well as drop weight-closing slide gate valves
  • high vacuum-tight angle slide gate valves
  • first discharge systems for salts from thin film evaporators under vacuum conditions

Further enlargement of the operation.

The 90s

Development and production of:

  • quick opening discharge valves for 4172°F (2300°C) hot molybdenum balls for a nuclear research centre
  • sluice systems for charge or discharge of solids at pressure or vacuum differentials
  • slide gate valves for the shut off of synthetic lacquers and resins
  • charge and discharge valves for tumble dryers with inflatable seals in the vacuum range
  • quick-closing valves for the nutritional industry for the shut off  of coffee and cocoa dust
  • slide gate valves with integrated flushing system (rotating spray heads)
  • charge and discharge valves for the tobacco industry for the steam application of the tobacco with pentanes
  • slide gate valves of the nominal diameter 35" (DN 900)

The 2000s

Further development of the:

  • dosage slide gate valves 19" (DN 500) with continuously variable setting (0-100%)
  • slide gate valve for the cold room -67°F (-55°C), shut off against vacuum for the nutritional industry (freeze-drying)

Development and production of:

  • slide gate valves for the microwave drying
  • slide gate valves with chilled sliding knife
  • slide gate valves out of zirconium
  • slide gate valves for blast furnaces for sampling and batch loading
